The Centre for Development Finance (CDF) is a non-profit policy research and consulting group founded in 2006 with a mandate to identify creative, sustainable models for financing development. Our current projects, working with a variety of public and private sector partners, focus on research and data dissemination to drive more effective prioritization and delivery of infrastructure and services.

  • Our approach rests on three practices:
  • CDF disseminates data in a way that engages citizens, policymakers and other users to promote accountability and informed decision making.
  • CDF leverages social science and management frameworks to drive its work- from diagnosing bottlenecks in policy, to anticipate risks to private investment in infrastructure, to designing ways for communities to more effectively participate in local government decision making.
  • CDF employs its global experience to develop contextually relevant solutions to local problems.
